Finally, they offer multiple recommandations to ensure the safety of our youth.
This article, published by the Canadian Medical Association, is extremely useful and complete. The main intent of this publication is the present a large amount of information on Pediatrics and its composants. They start off by explaining the different pediatric subspecialties and amount of studies required for them. The rest of the article is dedicated to precise graphics and statistics. These illustrations present the number of physicians divided by province, age, gender, hospitals and more. They also give a lot of information on the hours of work, the salary and overall satisfaction in the profession. This is a must-read for anyone considering to pursue this field of study!
This article, written by Humanium, is about the condition of children in Canada. They explain that the overall quality of life of young children in our country is above average. Besides the fact that we are lucky to live in our great country, not all children have the same opportunities. In fact, the younger indigenous population and children living in rural areas have more risks to be exposed to greater inequalities. These inequalities can be seen through discrimination, sexual exploitation and mistreatment. Further in the article, the writer explains how the government hasn't been very helpful to the cause. If we want a better future for our children, we truly must do better!
This very useful article is about the many problems within the healthcare system in Canada. The many challenges include endless waiting lists and low level of medical technologies. The article then links these problems to a larger one: a very important shortage of doctors. A few crucial studies are then presented supporting the main arguments. If these facts were not worrying enough, the article insists on how the issue of shortage is only going to increase with time. In fact, retiring physicians provide more services per person than the workforce that will be replacing them.
